During the months of June and July, we welcomed interns to our head office in Laval. Our paid internship program provided these promising young talents with a motivating and friendly environment, where they developed critical skills and gained experience in a fast-paced corporate culture.
At Laura Canada, we strongly believe that in order to move forward and keep improving, it’s important to get out of your comfort zone. With this in mind, these young professionals worked closely with a mentor, who is an expert in their field, and collaborated on various projects where they were involved in the decision-making process. This allowed them to get hands-on experience while working with passionate employees who were readily available to guide them.
At the end of July, the interns were treated to a farewell lunch to thank them for their great work. This was also an opportunity for the interns to discuss their experience with their department managers and with the HR team. These discussions are valuable to us, as we take into consideration all their suggestions in order to add to our internship program.
