This past March, Canadian influencer Ania Basak shared her industry expertise at the Retail and Fashion Fireside Chat – a panel discussion organized by the University of Calgary’s Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking. Dressed in a tailored monochromatic suit from Melanie Lyne, the founder and CEO of Fashion Calgary stunned in her peach pink ensemble, as she provided useful tips on how to succeed.
As the University of Calgary’s initiative to promote entrepreneurial thinking, the Hunter Hub creates programming for students, faculty, staff, scholars, alumni and the community alike. Exchanging interdisciplinary knowledge and learning from experience are at the forefront of the endeavor.
Basak was one of five local fashion and retail entrepreneurs invited to participate in the conversation about industry challenges and successes. Along with her fellow panelists, the fashion guru had the opportunity to share how she got her start, while offering an inside perspective on the ins and outs of the business. The pastel pantsuit that she wore fit perfectly for the occasion.
