For most, fall is the best time to experiment with personal style. The layering possibilities for walking amidst fallen leaves on tree-lined streets are limitless.
In the spirit of the season, Breakfast Television contributor, Zeeta Maharaj, led a live segment on fall trends in plus-size fashion. On the list were key November looks for casual days, the office, home and outdoor activities to wear well into next season.
Maharaj’s 9-to-5 look came straight from the Laura Plus collection. She chose a bold floral print top as a statement piece that can be worn all year. She paired the lapel collar tunic with a bright red jacket, slim leg pants and wear-with-everything accessories. Instead of featuring a bright print reminiscent of summer, Maharaj opted for earth tones to reflect the cooler weather.
For your own twist on this boardroom-ready outfit, Maharaj suggests wearing the tunic with nylons in warmer months. To take this look from fall to winter, pair it with thicker slim leg pants or leggings that will keep you comfortable in subzero temperatures.
